Screw Conveyor (Auger) for Grain and Powder
Tubular or U-trough screw conveyor for horizontal and inclined transfer of grain, seed and powder, with dust-tight covers and replaceable flights.
Overview
A screw conveyor is the most compact way to move grain or powder horizontally, and it can be sealed so dust stays inside the tube. Material is pushed along by a rotating helical flight inside a trough or tube.
It is commonly used under bins and silos, along the base of a cleaning line, and to feed a bucket elevator or a bagging machine. Length, diameter, pitch and drive are selected for the material and the throughput.
Notes on selection
Abrasive material wears the flight, so replacement flights and a thicker wear liner are available. For material that tends to compact (some powders and damp grain), a variable-pitch or stepped-pitch flight helps. Tell us the material and the run length when you enquire.
